I spent a good chunk of my 20’s with insomnia – it was preparation for when I finally became pregnant and hormones would steal my sleep yet again.
Back then a friend taught me this little game to help one fall asleep. It amazes me how often it works wonderfully & most nights I don’t even get to the end of it before I fall asleep (and believe me I am not a fall-asleep-before-the-head-hits-the-pillow gal).
Start with A and work your way through the alphabet to Z finding an item in your room for each letter. It’s harder than it sounds and because it gives you something boring to focus on it pushes out all other distracting thoughts.
